Friday, September 29th, 2006

The Abdomen region is effected by time, gravity, pregnancy,
television, magazine, food habits and advertising. All these issues
have adverse effect on our tummy. When the treatment concerns a very
important part of our body it is vital to consider a competent surgeon
who can perform the Tummy Tuck surgery efficiently. Not all surgeons
are capable of accomplishing best results with minimum discomfort.

Tumescent Abdominoplasty uses anesthesia for sculpturing the tummy
through liposuction and mini tuck. This procedure can be done under
local anesthesia without the need for general anesthesia. The surgery
promises more comfort, less pain medication and increased activity
after the treatment.

Tummy tuck surgery makes major changes on the abdominal wall. While
the general idea is to reduce the size of the abdomen each patient has
his individual requirements. It is important to cater to personal
issues while conducting abdominoplasty tummy tuck. The process restores
increased youthful appearance for your tummy.

seem to be changing their attitude about a number of issues that seemed
previously to be the preserve of women. Feeling the need to look
youthful and appear dynamic well into your 40s, 50s and 60s has led to
men re-thinking their attitudes to pills, diet, exercise, face-care
products and cosmetic (plastic) surgery. Men increasingly want to
change the things they don’t like to see in the mirror and statistics
available from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery show
that surgery is becoming increasingly popular with men as a way to deal
with image maintenance and change. Cosmetic surgery appeals to our
quick fix, no hassle approach to life. The down side is cost and the
dangers associated with elective surgery.

    dark circles.

Make-up Tips for Teenagers for the very Special Prom Night

Sunday, September 24th, 2006

For most teenagers prom night is a very special evening, and one
that will leave them with memories that last a lifetime. This is why it
is important to get it just right on the big night. You need to think
carefully about everything from your hair and accessories to your
outfit and make up.

When it comes to doing your make up for the prom, you need to be
very careful - there is a very fine line between looking stunning and
looking garish, and the way that you apply your make up can determine
whether or not you cross that line. When you are buying make up for
your prom night, you should think about what sort of look you want to
achieve and which features you want to accentuate most to really set
off your homecoming and prom dress.

The way you do your make up can make a real difference to the way your
outfit looks. Even with the sexiest and most glamorous of the range of
2006 prom dresses draped over your body, applying your make up in the
wrong way could leave you looking more like a drag queen than a prom
queen.

Using Simple Techniques Teenagers can bring out the Best in their Appearance

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

There is an evident pressure mounting on teenagers to look beautiful
so that they fit into latest fashion trend and at the same time stand
out in a crowd. Such expectations call for correct beauty and make- up
tips, so that they can bring out the best in their looks and
personality. Maintaining a good posture and smiling attitude is the
first step towards being attractive. Using heavy moisturizing creams at
an early age should be avoided because this increases the chance of
facial pores being blocked resulting in an unpleasant acne.

Teens should wear light make-up around the age of 12-13, which would
depict a natural look and at the same time also enhance certain facial
features. For regular schooling needs, occasionally some facial feature
can be highlighted over-doing anything at this point of time would look
uninviting. A little more make-up shall be fine for parties and would
give a festive feeling. It is best to avoid foundation at teenage and
stick to simple concealers if there is any blemishes on face.

Word of Thought for Teenagers – Truth behind Picture Perfect Models

Friday, September 22nd, 2006

Teenagers seem to be obsessed through the looks presented by their
role models. Celebrities and models pose a flawless body with flaunting
skin tones that do not have any imperfection. This presents an
imaginary world of glamour where all women are beautiful. Teens being
most influenced by the show business inherently develop a low
self-esteem thinking they are less blessed than those picture perfect
bodies on magazine covers. Such attitude is very damaging for the
self-confidence of a growing youth.

Here comes the need to realize that these are not real –people. They
only present what today’s professional photographers and modern
technology can do to ordinary looking individuals. Photographers today
are well versed with the art of photography that makes best use of
lighting, angles and distance. They know how to highlight a particular
personality trait of their models. Everything from retouching, removing
fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes and freckles is possible using a simple
mouse. Without these corrective processes if one looks at any model or
beautiful women who pose for media, one would realize that they are
just ordinary people no different from any other common person.

Blemishes and pimples account for universal skin care complaints

Thursday, September 21st, 2006

While teenagers are the most troubled ones suffering from unwanted
acne during their happy go lucky days even adults can fall prey to this
enigma after years of clear skin. There have always been lots of
suggestions and tips to cope with blemish everywhere but they rarely
bring out desired results. Well then some tried and tested
recommendations to tackle this Herculean task of dealing with acne is
presented here.

Make-up is one of the main causes for acne, applying an ice cube on
the acne for some time before applying make-up can do wonders. Using
some preventive measures along with some pimple drying technique
reduces the chances of scarring. Solutions such as salicylic acid or
benzoyl peroxide helps in the drying process of skin. Putting a warm
compress on “under the skin, cystic” pimple makes the pimple drain and
then dries it. A unique tip is to apply a dab of toothpaste on the
blemish and let it dry. Calamine lotion also has excellent drying
effects on oily skin.

Researchers have found no Association between Breast implants and the subsequent risk of Breast Cancer

Monday, September 18th, 2006

In one of the largest studies on the long-term health effects of
silicone breast implants, researchers from the National Cancer
Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, Md., found no association between breast
implants and the subsequent risk of breast cancer. The study is
published in the November issue of Cancer Causes and Control.

In order to carry out the study, researchers reviewed the medical
records from the plastic surgery practices and collected data about the
surgical procedures, types of implants, and complications, if any, as
well as factors affecting health status, such as weight and medical
history. Patients who were located were asked to complete a mailed
questionnaire in order to collect information about their health
status, factors that might affect their health, and short- and
long-term complications that might be associated with the implants. No
clinical exams were done on the patients, but attempts were made to
verify patient reports of cancer and connective tissue disease from the
medical records of the physicians who diagnosed or treated the
diseases.
